About Our Mission

Tracking Antisemitism on America's College Campuses

Our Purpose

For too long, Jewish students and their families have faced a significant challenge when deciding on college options: the lack of centralized, objective information about antisemitism on specific campuses. While general reports on campus climate exist, there has been no comprehensive resource documenting the Jewish student experience across different institutions.

Our platform addresses this gap by creating transparency through careful documentation and verification of firsthand accounts. We collect data from multiple sources, including student testimonials, campus reports, official statements, and media coverage. This information is then organized, verified, and presented in a clear, accessible format that helps students and families make informed decisions.

It's important to note that our goal is not to condemn or blacklist institutions. Rather, we aim to provide the Jewish community with objective information that can inform their educational choices and encourage universities to address issues when they arise. We believe that transparency is the first step toward positive change.

Above all, we are committed to factual accuracy and proper context. We understand the complexities surrounding discussions of antisemitism, especially in relation to political discourse about Israel and Palestine. Our focus is on documenting clear incidents of antisemitism while providing appropriate context and distinguishing between legitimate political criticism and antisemitic behavior.

Mission Statement

Our Belief

As Jewish students historically represent a significant portion of top academic institutions, contributing disproportionately to research, innovation, and academic excellence, we find it unacceptable that universities continue to benefit from Jewish talent while failing to protect Jewish students from discrimination and harassment. Many elite universities have long relied on Jewish scholars, professors, and students who comprise a substantial portion of their campus communities, yet these same institutions have not demonstrated sufficient commitment to ensuring their safety and equal treatment. This petition demands concrete action to address antisemitism on campus and create an environment where Jewish students can pursue their education without fear of harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.

Our Approach

1

Incident Collection

We gather reports from multiple sources including student testimonials, campus newspapers, official statements, and community organizations.

2

Verification

Each report undergoes a rigorous verification process requiring documentation from at least two independent sources.

3

Classification

Incidents are categorized using established definitions of antisemitism, including the IHRA working definition.

How We Ensure Accuracy

We follow strict protocols to ensure the information we present is accurate, verified, and properly contextualized:

Verification Protocols:
Every incident report undergoes a multi-step verification process that requires corroboration from at least two independent sources. Anonymous reports are noted as such and held to an even higher standard of verification.

Sources Consulted:
We draw information from campus newspapers, official university statements, reports from established Jewish organizations, student testimonials, social media documentation, and public records.

Handling Conflicting Accounts:
When we encounter conflicting information about an incident, we present all verified perspectives and clearly note areas of disagreement or uncertainty.

Correction Policy:
If we discover inaccuracies in our reporting, we promptly issue corrections and update our records. We maintain a public log of all substantive corrections to ensure transparency.

Measuring Success

Our work is guided by clear goals that help us measure our impact and continually improve our approach:

Short-Term Goals

Building Comprehensive Database

Collecting and verifying incidents across major U.S. universities to create the most comprehensive database of campus antisemitism available.

Medium-Term Goals

Informing Student Choices

Providing Jewish high school students and their families with reliable information to help them make informed decisions about college applications and enrollment.

Long-Term Goals

Improving Campus Climate

Encouraging positive institutional changes by providing transparent information that holds universities accountable and incentivizes them to address antisemitism on their campuses.
